All units need to coordinate the transportation of vaccines to ensure absolute safety

– On the afternoon of August 2, in Thai Nguyen, the Command of 1st Military Region held a conference to synergize the transportation of vaccines for the national vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in 2021-2022.

 Major General Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Commander of the 1st Military Region, Head of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control of the 1st Military Region chaired the conference. The conference was connected online with the Military Command of 6 provinces under the Military Region including: Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh and Bac Giang.

At the focal point of the Provincial Military Command, attending the conference were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of the Provincial Military Command, Department of Health, Provincial Public Security, Department of Transport and related forces.

To carry out the Government’s tasks in the National Vaccination Campaign against COVID-19, the Ministry of Defense has coordinated with the Ministry of Health and related ministries and sectors to set up storage warehouses for COVID-19 vaccine at 8 focal points in 7 military regions and the Hanoi Capital City Special High Command of the People’s Army of Vietnam.

In order to perform well the assigned tasks, the 1st Military Region has developed a plan to receive, store, transport and deliver vaccines to serve the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in 2021 – 2022 in the military region. Accordingly, in 2021, the 1st Military Region will transport 5,273,000 doses of vaccine to 6 provinces in the military region (Lang Son will be transported 164,000 doses in August, September 2021 and 383,000 doses in the fourth quarter of 2021).

According to the plan, the 1st Military Region will use cars to transport vaccines from warehouses to medical centers of districts and cities in 6 provinces under the military region. The work of synergistic transport has been completed, ready to transport when there is a plan to distribute vaccines to the provinces of the Ministry of Health.

At the conference, Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province agreed with the plan of the 1st Military Region Command on synergistic work in transporting, delivering and receiving vaccines to the locality. At the same time affirming that “Currently, the preparation for receiving vaccines in the districts and city in the area has been completed; The arrangement of refrigerated trucks in service of transporting vaccines from district centers and city to injection points in communes and townships has been completed. At the same time, the relevant units in the area have fully arranged the force to ensure the safe transport and receipt of vaccines”.

Concluding the conference, the Deputy Commander of the 1st Military Region asked the Military Commands of the provinces to do well in preparation to ensure absolute safety in receiving and transporting vaccines, meeting the requirements of COVID-19 vaccination in localities. At the same time, the People’s Committees of the provinces are requested to direct relevant agencies, departments and sectors to perform well the work of synergistic coordination to perform well the transportation and receipt of vaccines to ensure that the vaccine goes on as planned.
