The meeting of the Provincial Council for consideration for the 10th “Excellent Artist” title

– On the afternoon of August 19, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Council chaired the meeting for consideration for the 10th “Excellent Artist” title.
Implementing Decision No.1660/QĐ-BVHTTDL of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism dated May 25, 2021 on promulgating the plan to consider the 10th “People’s Artist” and “Excellent Artist” titles, Lang Son province has established the Council for consideration for the titles at all levels, implementing steps in accordance with the process, regulations and guidelines.
In the province, this time, there are no artists eligible for the “People’s Artist” title. For the “Excellent Artist” title, the grassroots awarding council received, appraised and approved four dossiers, belonging to the performing arts: singing, dancing and music.

Accordingly, four dossiers are eligible for the 10th “Excellent Artist” title, including musician Dinh Quang Trung, dancer Hoang Hong Gam (under Lang Son Culture and Arts Center), Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan (former singer of the Viet Bac Folk Dance and Music Delegation), Ms. Hoang Hong Minh (former singer of Lang Son Culture and Arts Center).
The meeting approved a summary of contents, regulations, standards, principles, order, procedures and dossiers for considering awarding the title; through the considering results of the grassroots council. At the same time, members of the Provincial Council discussed and commented on each dossier, accordingly, 9/9 members of the Provincial Council voted unanimously to select four eligible dossiers to carry out procedures to report to competent authorities to consider awarding the 10th “Excellent Artist” title.
Concluding the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee suggested that Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism continue to complete procedures and dossiers to submit to competent authorities according to regulations. At the same time, in the upcoming time, the Department needs to continue to pay attention to and encourage the contingent of artists and actors to be dedicated, have many good and quality works, contributing to the overall development of the province.
