The epidemic prevention and control is the task of the entire political system

(LSO) – On August 6, Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee organized a 3-level online meeting on the Covid-19 prevention and control under the chairmanship of Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Mrs. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and directed the meeting.

According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee on the Covid-19 Prevention and Control, on August 5, 2020, Lang Son had four cases of Covid-19 in Dinh Lap district.

Until 7 o’clock on August 6, 2020, the whole province had 1,524 cases returning from Da Nang, of which, 748 cases have been quarantined for over 14 days. All cases are monitored and quarantined according to the regulations of Ministry of Health.

In Dinh Lap District, up to 7 o’clock on August 6, 2020, four cases of Covid-19 were transferred to Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases No. 2, Hanoi. Through investigation and tracing, 103 close contact cases (F1) have been identified, being quarantined at the district health center. Tracing cases returning from the epidemic region is being actively implemented.

Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the epidemic prevention and control is the task of the entire political system. With the four-on-the-spot motto, the leaders of agencies, units and localities must be responsible for ensuring the epidemic prevention and control in their units.

She requested the Steering Committee on the Covid-19 Prevention and Control at all levels to drastically implement the epidemic prevention and control under the direction of the Central Government, Ministry of Health and the Provincial People’s Committee.

Units must continue to review and speed up tracing cases from Da Nang and epidemic areas back to the locality. In particular, it is necessary to quickly trace cases related to four cases of Covid-19 in Dinh Lap district, ensuring no disease spread to the community. It is necessary to strengthen propaganda and mobilize the People not to neglect or panic about the epidemic, raise the self-awareness of the disease prevention and control.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested functional forces to strictly control at the border gates, trails and border crossings to promptly prevent illegal entry and exit, trafficking and transportation of medical equipment with unclear origin, poor quality to timely handle violations strictly.

Districts and the city need to well organize high school graduation exams with safety. The district party congress organization must ensure strict adherence to epidemic prevention and control regulations. Units need to realize the “dual goal” of effective epidemic prevention and control and socio-economic development. Committees, agencies, unions and functional forces should closely coordinate with districts and the city with the best and most effective efforts so that Lang Son will curb the epidemic and have no new cases in the community.

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee proposed the units to thoroughly grasp the direction of the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

He requested the units to strictly implement the requests of Ministry of Health at the Official Dispatch No.1234/CĐ-BYT, dated August 5, 2020 to Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee on the investigation and handling of Covid-19 pesthole in the area. In addition, health facilities should closely monitor the health developments of  all close contacts with Covid-19 patients. It is required to strengthen influenza syndrome, severe viral pneumonia, Covid-19 surveillance in order to early detect, to completely eliminate the pesthole that is likely to outbreak in the community and so on.
