Online conference on the organization of the National high school graduation examination in 2022

On the morning of June 8, the Ministry of Education and Training held an online conference on the organization of the high school graduation exam in 2022. Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training chaired the conference.

Attending the conference in Lang Son province were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2022 high school graduation exam, and members of the provincial and district steering committees.

According to the report of the Ministry of Education and Training, the country’s high school graduation exam in 2022 has 1,002,486 registration forms. In which, there are 83,196 candidates only taking the exam to  graduated; 39,189 candidates take the exam only for admission to universities and colleges; 880,101 candidates take the exam to graduated and admission to universities and colleges.

At the conference, the Ministry of Education and Training informed about a number of key contents in the organization of the high school graduation exam in 2022 such as guiding documents; exam organization plan; inspection and examination plans… Along with that, the steering committees of provinces and cities in the coming time need to organize professional training for officials and teachers doing exam work; establish the examination council and the committees of the examination board in accordance with regulations; overall review of facilities, equipment for the exam, printing locations, copy papers, test storage…; develop a detailed plan to organize the exam.

Within the framework of the conference, representatives of the exam steering committees of the provinces and cities reported and informed about the exam preparation work of the sector and the locality. At the same time, the representatives propose and recommend some solutions to effectively organize the high school graduation exam in 2022 in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training requested, the local high school graduation exam steering committees need to carefully prepare the conditions for the exam; thoroughly grasp the organization of the exam to members of the steering committee at all levels;ensure compliance with the documents of the Ministry of Education and Training on the organization of the exam. The People’s Committees of the provinces and cities should have directives on the organization of local examinations; develop specific plans for each sector on participating in organizing the exam.

In addition, the exam steering committees at all levels need to organize the selection of qualified and ethical personnel to participate in the exam; organize adequate training for officials, teachers and employees participating in the exam; develop specific plans to ensure security and safety of printing, copying, transporting and preserving exam papers and exams; arrange a wave breaking system to prevent cheating at the exam sites; fully arrange official exam rooms and backup exam rooms; pay attention to disease prevention; strengthen inspection and examination, tighten discipline at exam sites; focus on information, reporting… Thereby, ensuring the exam takes place safely, seriously and with quality.

In Lang Son province, for the high school graduation exam in 2022, the whole province 44 units have candidates registered for the exam with 9,681 candidates registered to take the exam. Including 9,004 students in grade 12 and 677 free candidates. To serve the exam, the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2022 high school graduation exam has issued a decision to establish 21 exam sites, with 2 exam rooms for each exam site.
