Implementing the work of law dissemination and education in 2021

(LSO) – On the afternoon of January 21, 2021, the Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education held a conference to summarize the work of law dissemination and education in 2020 and implement the work in 2021.

Attending and directing the conference were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education. There was also the participation of members of the Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education, leaders of the People’s Committees and justice divisions of districts and the city.

In 2020, the Provincial and District Coordinating Councils for Law Dissemination and Education are regularly consolidated with functions, tasks and members in accordance with regulations. Agencies and units have paid attention to building and implementing plans, diversifying forms of law dissemination and education suitable for subjects and propaganda purposes. Highlights are District and City Coordinating Councils for Law Dissemination and Education, the People’s Committees of communes, wards, townships, provincial-level departments, committees, agencies, unions and central agencies located in the province have organized 17,379 law dissemination and education meetings for more than 1.3 million listeners. 100% of departments, committees, agencies, People’s Committees of districts and the city have thoroughly grasped law dissemination and education and implemented activities in response to the Law Day. Conciliation teams in the province have successfully reconciled 2,614/3,483 cases, reaching the rate of 75%, an increase of 7.6% compared to 2019 and so on.

In 2021, the Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education identified seven key tasks such as continuing to direct provincial departments, committees, agencies, unions, District and City Coordinating Councils for Law Dissemination and Education to well implement the task of law dissemination and education; advise the Provincial People’s Committee to effectively implement the task of assessing, recognizing, building communes meeting the standards of legal access, ensuring and enhancing the ability to access the law for the people and so on.

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee proposed that in the upcoming time, members of the Provincial Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education, the People’s Committee, justice divisions of districts and the city continue to propagate to raise awareness of Party committees at all levels, heads of agencies, units on the work of law dissemination and education, building the plan of law dissemination and education of sectors, agencies, units, well implement the Law Day; attach special importance to propaganda for the election of National Assembly deputies and People’s Council deputies at all levels for the 2021 – 2026 term; renewing the work of law dissemination and education, strengthening law propaganda through the mass media, social networks, promoting the socialization of law dissemination and education; paying attention to building, training professional skills for the contingent of cadres doing law dissemination and education work. At the same time, it is required to focus on inspecting, supervising, timely praising, rewarding and replicating typical advanced examples in law dissemination and education. The standing bodies of the Coordinating Council for Law Dissemination and Education at all levels must promote the role of advising and implementing the work of law dissemination and education. On this occasion, twelve collectives and nine individuals received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for their outstanding achievements in law dissemination and education in 2020.
