Deploying the task of building new-style rural areas in 2022

– On February 25, the Provincial People’s Committee held a 3-level online conference to deploy tasks and plans to build new-style rural areas in 2022.

In 2021, despite facing difficulties due to limited investment resources for the program, the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic… but with the close attention and direction of all levels, sectors and the joint contribution of people, the implementation of new-style rural construction in the province continues to achieve many important results.

Specifically, the total capital mobilized to implement the new-style rural construction program in the province reached 2,974 billion VND, of which people donated land, contributed cash and working days converted into money with more than 110 billion VND. Thereby, in 2021, the whole province opened 23 km of new roads, built 404 km of cement concrete pavement; invested in the construction, upgrading and repairing of 21 irrigation and domestic water works; invested in the construction of ten rural electricity projects; building and upgrading 27 school works; building seven new communal cultural houses, 24 village cultural houses; allocating 6.9 billion VND to 16 production development models and so on.

Thereby, in 2021, in the province, there were ten more communes recognized as meeting the standards of rural areas, bringing the total number of communes recognized to meet the standards in the province to 75 communes; five communes were recognized as meeting advanced rural standards; on average, one commune achieved 14.03 criteria, an increase of 1.06 criteria compared to 2020.

In 2022, the whole province strives to build ten more communes meeting new-style rural standards; on average, each commune will meet 14.5 criteria or more; add five more communes to meet advanced rural standards; each district and city shall recognize from two to three model residential areas and two or more model gardens.

At the conference, representatives of some provincial departments and agencies, representatives of districts, the city and communes in the province focused on evaluating the results achieved in new-style rural construction in 2021. At the same time, drawing lessons learned, proposing solutions to successfully implement the goals and tasks of new-style rural construction in 2022.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated efforts and results achieved in new-style rural construction in 2021 in the province.

Regarding the tasks of 2022, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested departments, agencies, People’s Committees of districts and the city to closely follow the Plan No. 23/KH-UBND of the Provincial People’s Committee dated January 29, 2022 on implementing the national target program on new-style rural building in Lang Son province in 2022; continue to focus on leading and directing new-style rural construction; building and launching the emulation movement “Lang Son together with the whole country to build new-style rural areas in the 2022 – 2025 period”; organize the synchronous and effective implementation of solutions to restructure the agricultural sector in association with the new-style rural construction; focus on mobilizing and doing well the work of capital integration; the communes that have met the new-style rural standards must continue to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria… The districts and communes need to draw lessons from the previous year to speed up the progress and ensure the quality of infrastructure works in new-style rural construction in 2022.
