Leaders of Lang Son Province People’s Committee met officers and soldiers of Army Chemical Defense Force, Military Region I

– In the morning of June 9, at the headquarters of Lang Son Military Command (LMC), leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee met and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Army Chemical Defense Force taking part in the task of spraying disinfectants in the province.

 Attendance of the meeting included Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, leaders of the provincial Customs Department, leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of the Provincial People’s Committee and representatives of relevant departments.

Participants in the task of Cleaning and Disinfecting with chemical s prays included 23 officers and soldiers of the 23rd Army Chemical Unit (Consultation Department), Military Zone I. They used 6 specialized trucks and collaborated with Lang Son Army Command and administrative units to spray with disinfectants on large scale in the districts of Huu Lung and Chi Lang since June 5, 2021.

At the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee thanked  Military Region I, officers and soldiers of the  Army force participating in the task and supporting the province to prevent and control the transmission of the Covid-19 virus in communities of Lang Son. He also emphasized that the action of the Army Chemical Force, at the same time, raised awareness and responsibility of the community and society in fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, helped the Party committee, government and local people feel secured and  actively participate in the disease prevention and control.

Also on this occasion, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee presented gifts to the forces performing the tasks including necessities, masks, hand-sanitizers and 20 million VND; The People’s Committee of Lang Son city awarded 23 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to 23 officers and soldiers of Military Zone I taking part in the disinfection with chemical sprays.

After the meeting, the Army Chemical Force of Military Zone I conducted a large-scale disinfection spray in Lang Son city, including main roads, crowded markets and offices of branches, agencies, functional units, Lang Son Lung Disease Hospital, Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital.

According to the plan, the unit will carry out large-scale spray with disinfectants in Cao Loc district and other border gates of the province.
