Actively preparing the conditions for the high school graduation examination

– The 2021 High School Graduation Examination will officially take place on July 7 and 8, 2021. Over the past time, The Steering Committee for the national high school graduation exam 2021 has actively prepared the conditions for the exam in association with the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, aiming for a safe and secure examination.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of Standing Committee of the Provincial Examination Board, said: “In order to well prepare the conditions for the exam, the department has advised the Provincial People’s Committee to establish the Provincial Examination Board and approve the plan to organize the national high school graduation exam in 2021 in the province; inspecting facilities and equipment to organize the exam. The Department also closely cooperates with the Examination Board at all levels to check the facilities, equipment, machinery for the exam and the plan for epidemic prevention and control, etc. to ensure that the exam takes place safely and in accordance with regulations.”

It is known that at this time, the organization for the examination has been implemented urgently and carefully; the province has total of 21 test sites with 409 exam rooms ( an increase of 36 rooms compared to 2020) located in high schools of districts and city. After the inspection, these units have basically met the requirements of the exam room and the conditions for the examination.  In addition, in order to organize this exam well, the Provincial Examination Board will mobilize nearly 2,000 officials, teachers, and staff (both direct and backup) of which 1,490 people will be assigned to the examination committee. including officials, teachers, police, security guards, healthcare workers, and servicemen.

Mr. Trieu Duc Dung, Vice Chairman of Van Quan District People’s Committee, Head of the District Examination Committee for the National High School Graduation Exam 2021 in Van Quan district said:”This year, Van Quan district has 664 examinees registered for the exam. Recently, the district’s examination committee has carried out the preparation of the exam under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training; deploying exam organization plans to actively respond to the complicated developments of the epidemic, in which, arranging more exam locations, backup exam rooms… Accordingly, examinees will take the exam at 2 test locations including Luong Van Tri High School and Van Quan High School (with 20 exam rooms and 3 backup exam rooms).

This year’s exam took place when we are affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, so in order to ensure the safety of the examinees, exam officials and the community; a special attention has been paid, districts and city has planned to arrange back up exam locations and exam rooms (each location prepares 2 backup exam rooms) ready  to replace in case the examination staff and candidates show signs of epidemiology with Covid-19 ; develop a plan to implement quick Covid-19 test for officials and teachers performing  tasks at the exam.

Up to now, the province has 7 F1 and 56 F2 examinees, after the quarantine period is over, if they continue to be negative for Covid-19, the examinees will take the exam as normal. At the time of the exam, if there are examinees in the category F0, F1, F2, it will comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Specifically, F0 candidates are given special graduation consideration and are facilitated to participate in university entrance examination by appropriate forms. F1 examinees can take the exam at the quarantine area or at a separate exam location near the quarantine area. Examinees with F2 category can arrange to take the exam at a backup exam room of the exam location or at a separate exam location suitable to each local condition.

Along with the preparation of conditions for the exam, from now until the national high school graduation exam takes place, the Provincial Examination Board requires high schools and units to continue focusing on exam preparation; review the examinees under the category F0, F1, F2 to have a suitable test organization plan… With that active preparation, it is believed that this year’s national high school graduation exam in the province will be safe and have high quality result.

Participating in this year’s national high school graduation exam , the province has 43 units with 9,573 examinees registered for the exam (an increase of 755 candidates compared to the exam in 2020). In which, 8,961 are students of grade 12 and 612 are free examinees.
