Continuing to strictly implement pandemic prevention and control regulations at border areas and border gates

– On the morning of August 10, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, visited, encouraged and presented gifts to the forces in charge of pandemic prevention and control in 2 districts of Van Lang and Cao Loc.

Participating in the delegation were Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council and the leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and relevant departments, commissions and sectors.

In Van Lang district, the delegation visited and presented gifts at the border checkpoint at Tan Thanh Border Gate; Long-distance driver monitoring and management team at Bao Nguyen Parking Lot; medical quarantine checkpoint on the specialized road to Tan Thanh Border Gate and the medical quarantine checkpoint in zone 2, Tan Thanh commune.

In Cao Loc district, the delegation visited and presented gifts at border checkpoint No. 5, Dong Dang town; medical quarantine checkpoint at Huu Nghi International Border Gate; the interdisciplinary working group to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic at the accommodation of long-distance drivers at Huu Nghi International Border Gate.

At the visited places, Mr. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee kindly asked and encouraged the forces on duty to always keep their health, clearly define the spirit and responsibility in the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic in order to complete all assigned tasks.

In particular, at the medical quarantine checkpoint of zone 2, Tan Thanh Border Gate, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expected that the forces on duty must strictly comply with regulations on pandemic prevention. At the same time, the forces must regularly propagate to raise the people’s awareness and protect the lives of people in the area, avoiding the shortage of goods and necessities for the people in the area.

Discussing about the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested the steering committees of pandemic prevention and control of Van Lang and Cao Loc districts to continue to strictly implement measures of pandemic prevention and control, especially in border areas and border gates; to strengthen the application of information technology in pandemic prevention and control. The two districts needed to closely manage the team of long-distance drivers and full-time drivers in separate areas to ensure stable and smooth import and export activities, contributing to the effective implementation of the “dual goals” – both effective pandemic prevention and economic development.

On this occasion, the delegation supported the steering committees of the two districts with 200 million VND each and other necessities to carry out pandemic prevention work in the area.

At the places, the delegation supported necessities and 10 million VND/place for the forces on duty.
