Cao Loc must ensure that the border gate area is always a “green zone” for import and export activities

– On the afternoon of August 23, the provincial delegation was led by Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control as the head of the inspection team to inspect the prevention and control work in Cao Loc district.

 Participating in the delegation were Mr. Nong Luong Chan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of the Department of Health and related units.

According to the report at the inspection, from May 2021 to August 23, 2021, Cao Loc district recorded 6 cases of COVID-19 (mainly related to cases returning from Bac Giang). these cases have been cured and discharged as prescribed; the proportion of people aged 18 and over who were vaccinated against COVID-19 reached 32.8%.

The work of pandemic prevention and control, ensuring security at the border gate area is carried out in accordance with regulations, creating favorable conditions for the import and export of goods. From February 27, 2021 to now, the forces on duty at the border gate area have measured body temperature for 182,890 turns of people; 94,406 turns of people completed medical declaration.

Speaking at the inspection, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee assessed that the disease had a very high risk of outbreak in Cao Loc district, especially at Huu Nghi International Border Gate.

Therefore, the district needs to strictly and closely implement measures to prevent and control the pandemic, considering this as a top priority task in the current period to ensure the good implementation of the “dual goal” – both efficiency pandemic prevention and control while ensuring socio-economic development; strengthen the application of information technology in pandemic prevention and control. In particular, the current important and urgent task is to be determined to maintain the Huu Nghi International Border Gate area as a “green zone, an pandemic-free zone” to create maximum favorable conditions for import and export activities.

In order to effectively implement pandemic prevention and control measures, the Chairman noted that the forces at the border gate should strengthen coordination and actively develop strict plans and processes in the management and arrangement of accommodation for long-distance drivers and full-time drivers; Well-organized serving, dining and living for the above cases must go along with  the management, ensuring the regulations on pandemic prevention and control for the staff participating in the service. The district needs to stop operations and strictly handle spontaneous bus stops and parking lots in the area near the border gate, ensuring the most effective pandemic prevention and control.

Currently, vehicles waiting for export at Huu Nghi International Border Gate are being arranged to stop and temporarily park at Na Tam area, Hoang Dong commune, Lang Son city. The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested Cao Loc district to urgently put into operation a temporary parking lot at the cargo transshipment zone, Dong Dang – Lang Son border gate economic zone, in the area of 2 communes: Thuy Hung, Phu Xa before August 25, 2021 to ensure traffic and disease safety.

For Xuan Cuong Parking Lot, he asked business owners to strictly implement regulations on pandemic prevention; In the parking lot, only 600 import and export vehicles can park (required for vehicles with goods and only 1 person on board); promptly arrange clean and reasonable accommodation, ensuring the correct distance for the team of specialized drivers.
