Border guard forces have to further tighten border management work

(LSO) – That was the direction of Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee during the inspection of Covid-19 prevention and control at Na Hinh Border Guard Station, Van Lang District and Po Ma Border Guard Station, Trang Dinh district on August 15.

According to the report at the inspection, 2 border guard station Na Hinh and Po Ma were tasked with managing and protecting a 45km long border line of 5 border communes in Van Lang, Trang Dinh district.

From the beginning of the year until now, the units have performed well the task of protecting sovereignty and border security and ensuring epidemic prevention and control.

Specifically,  from the beginning of the year, 2 units have arranged 27 fixed shelters, checkpoints at trails, tracks, border areas and 4 mobile teams to carry out propaganda in each village, hamlets.

Thereby, the units have effectively implemented preventing illegal entry and exit; arresting 4 cases, 7 people for the act of illegally transporting people in and out; promptly detecting, collecting and completing the documents of 270 Vietnamese citizens who illegally enter through the border tracks and take them to quarantine areas in the province.

Propaganda and coordination with grassroots forces of the two units ensure efficiency, contributing to stabilizing the security and social situation in the border area, preventing epidemic from entering the area.

Speaking at the inspection session, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee asked the two units to continue tightening border management. The leaders of the units strictly and deeply grasp the guiding documents of their superiors; proactively build plans, ensure the good performance of maintaining sovereignty and border security and disease prevention and control.

At the same time, the units need to strictly implement the epidemic prevention work at the offices and border areas; ensure good conditions for officials, soldiers and forces at fixed shelters, border checkpoints; proactively coordinate with other forces, be flexible in performing tasks. In particular, units need to strengthen propaganda for people to raise their awareness in epidemic prevention and control.

On this occasion, the delegation visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Na Hinh Border Guard Station and Po Ma Border Guard Station and checkpoints at the trails, tracks in the border areas managed by the two units.
