Pink Spring – Red Sunday Festival in 2021: Receiving 783 blood units

(LSO) – On January 16, the Provincial Red Cross coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union and Tien Phong newspaper in Lang Son to organize Pink Spring – Red Sunday Festival, 2021.

At the ceremony, the leader of the Provincial Red Cross annouced a blood donation day. Accordingly, she spread the message “Blood donation in the spring – multiplying happiness” and mobilized all classes of people to actively participate in blood donation movement, especially the occasion of blood donation in early spring to overcome the shortage rare blood before, during and after the Lunar New Year.

The time to launch the campaign of voluntary blood donation during holidays and New Year is from December 2020 to February 2021.

The launching ceremony attracted a large number of cadres, armed forces, civil servants, workers and people from all walks of life to register for blood donation.

The organizers of the ceremony visited and presented gifts to poor patients who are being treated at the Medical Center of Cao Loc district

Through examination, testing and blood screening, 783 people were eligible to donate blood, equivalent to 783 units of blood, 283 units of blood exceeded the plan, increasing 262 units of blood compared to the Pink Spring – Red Sunday Festival in 2020.

The number of blood units received will contribute to overcoming the shortage of blood before, during and after the Lunar New Year in 2021. During the program, the Organizing Committee visited and presented 10 gifts to poor patients who are being treated at Cao Loc District Medical Center.
