Lang Son city strives to foster site clearance for on-going Lang projects

(LSO) – Problems related to policies and administration mechanism of many projects in the province were solved effectively making contribution to land clearance and transference. They are the positive achievement of Lang Son City’s goverments  in the work of site clearance in 2020.

In 2020, Lang Son City People’s Committee sheduled to start 49 projects, including 5 key projects of the province and 7 key projects of the city. Having identified the site clearance as a key task to accelerate projects, the City People’s Committee already directed the Center for Land Development and the People’s Committees of wards and communes to plan implementation outlines; assign tasks to each officer and public employee specifically,  work out specific compensation support and resettlement plans of assigned projects.

Regarding administration, on a weekly or irregular basis, leaders of the City People’s Committee hold meetings to listen to the reports on the implementation of each project from funtional units, especially reports of  key projects in order  to take measures to remove problems timely. In addition, the city valued the great importance  of propaganda activitiesand dialogues with afffected households to have an understanding of their feelings and expectations.

Thanks to approriate activities, in 2020, the ground clearance work of projects in the city halready achieved positive results, especially the achievements of solving problems in relation to  prolonged ground clearance of new urban areas projects including the Phu Loc I, II, III, IV projects and Nam Hoang Dong project.

Up to now the City People’s Committee has mobilized a half of  households residing at the Phu Loc III project to hand over the premises with an area of ​​more than 1,000 m2; mobilized 7 out of 9 households to hand over an area of ​​5,447 m2 in Phu Loc I, II urban areas. For  the situtation of  the two households  have not yet agreed to hand over, the City People’s Committee is continuing to motivate and consolidate the legal documents to take the next steps as prescribed. As a result of that, it will facilitate the investors to speed up the construction and installation of a 37-meter road connecting Le Loi Street and Bong Lau Street before Tan Suu Lunar New Year 2021.

Mr. Lai Quoc Toan, Director of Phu Loc Investment and Construction Group Joint Stock Company, the investor of Phu Loc III urban area project, said that with the enthusisatic particioation of the city government, in 2020, problems related to land clearance  at the Phu Loc III urban area project were removed supporting the company to to implement the project as planned.

In 2020, the City People’s Committee received and handed over the premises of 282 households, individuals and 6 organizations with a total area of ​​84,573 m2 for 19 projects. As a result, the handover progress of  key projects met the requirement, for example, handing over the site of more than 5,000 m2 to the investor to build the Northern campus of Ky Cung bridge; the ground of The social housing construction project Number 2; the ground construction of the southern campus of Ky Cung bridge.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, Chairman of the City People’s Committee  said that in order to speed up the site clearance progress, especially in key projects of the province and the city, the City People’s Committee always actively send reports and asks for direction from the Provincial People’s committee to have effective solutions for each specific case in each specific project. At the same time,  dialogues between locality and afftected households were done to reach the mutual agreement. Therefore, many difficulites related to the  ground  clearance had been handled on time contributing to speeding up the progress of the project implementation.

In the year 2021, the city government will continue to carry out many major provincial projects with the participation of the entire political system, the land clearance is elieved to achieve high efficiency contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
