Ensuring that everyone in concentrated treatment and quarantine areas can celebrate Tet

– The 2022 Lunar New Year of the Tiger is approaching, the work of taking care of people’s lives in concentrated quarantine areas and treatment areas for COVID-19 patients is being actively prepared by units, contributing to ensuring that everyone is safe and welcomes Tet in joy, warmth and safety.

According to the statistics of the Department of Health, as of January 23, 2022, the whole province maintained two concentrated quarantine areas managed by the army; ten concentrated quarantine areas for F1 cases who are not eligible for home quarantine and more than 20 points treating about 1,500 COVID-19 patients (at hospitals, medical centers, mobile medical stations).

Mr. Ly Kim Soi, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, said that in fact, the disease situation in the area is still complicated, the average number of COVID-19 cases per day is over 100 cases. As a result, the number of F0 treatment and related F1 cases has also increased. Faced with the above situation, the health sector has directed units to fully prepare medical supplies and equipment for epidemic prevention and control; increase human resources for quarantine, collection and treatment of COVID-19 patients and related cases. In particular, the Department of Health has asked its affiliated units to ensure that all cases of COVID-19 quarantine and treatment receive more attention during the Lunar New Year; visit, encourage, convey new year wishes, present gifts for medical staff and patients; increase food rations to ensure adequate nutrition and food safety and hygiene during Tet holiday and so on.

With the direction of the industry, Tet care for patients with COVID-19 being treated at hospitals, medical centers and mobile medical stations has been fully prepared. For example, the Provincial General Hospital are currently treating more than 380 COVID-19 cases. Doctor Truong Quy Truong, Director of the Provincial General Hospital, said that patients with COVID-19 are given the same attention as regular patients undergoing inpatient treatment at the hospital. In addition to the unit’s resources, the hospital has called for more than 30 million VND from businesses and benefactors to prepare Tet gifts for all patients; food rations for medical staff and patients have also increased with many traditional dishes during the Lunar New Year. Each department, division as well as the treatment area for COVID-19 patients prepares peach branches, kumquat trees and five-fruit trays… so that everyone can have the joy of welcoming the traditional national new year like at home.

Along with that, in the province’s concentrated quarantine areas and the concentrated quarantine areas for F1 cases who are not eligible for home quarantine, the steering committees for COVID-19 prevention and control in districts and the city have been actively preparing necessary conditions such as Tet gifts; organizing visits and providing encouragement; decorating the area to welcome the new year…so that people who are undergoing treatment or concentrated quarantine can welcome the new spring.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Secretary of Van Quan District Party Committee, Head of the District Steering Committee said that as of January 24, 2022, the district maintains seven concentrated quarantine areas for F1 cases and two areas for treatment of COVID -19 patients. The unit has requested F0 treatment sites and concentrated quarantine areas for F1 cases that are not eligible for home quarantine to prepare a plan to welcome Tet for citizens to ensure absolute safety and warmth. In the near future, departments, agencies and mass organizations in the area will make Chung Cakes for concentrated quarantine areas, F0 treatment areas; mobilizing families of quarantined cases to support meals during Tet; prepare Tet gifts from the district’s budget and socialization sources for all officials and employees working in the above areas, ensuring that everyone has a happy and safe Tet.

The 2022 Lunar New Year is very close, the whole political system is trying to make everyone have the joy of welcoming a new spring. It is hoped that not only those who are being quarantined and treated due to the epidemic, but also every citizen, will fully and seriously comply with epidemic prevention and control measures to welcome a new spring of joy, happiness and safety.
