The epidemic situation in Cao Loc district is basically under control

– On the afternoon of November 25, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, inspected the COVID-19 prevention and control in Cao Loc district.

Participating in the delegation were Mr. Nong Luong Chan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of relevant departments, committees and agencies.

The delegation checked the reality of epidemic prevention and control at three locations: the parking lot of the goods transshipment area, Phu Xa commune; the concentrated quarantine area in Dong Dang Township Primary School and the field checkpoint for COVID-19 prevention and control (Checkpoint B2) at Huu Nghi International Border Gate.

At the meeting with Cao Loc District Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the delegation was informed about the epidemic situation in the area.

Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee concluded the working session.

Specifically, right after detecting the first three cases of COVID-19 in the community on November 20, 2021 in Dong Dang township, the functional forces urgently traced and took samples for PCR testing for 100% of the population in Dong Dang township, Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Phu Xa and Hong Phong communes.

Accordingly, on November 24, 30 F0 were detected in the community in the district. The related F1, F2 cases have been quarantined in a timely manner, in accordance with regulations, ensuring security and safety and preventing cross-contamination in quarantine areas.

Concluding at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed that the epidemic situation in Cao Loc district is basically under control.

The provincial delegation visited and presented gifts to forces on duty at the concentrated quarantine area in Dong Dang Township Primary School, Cao Loc district.

Amid the complicated developments of the epidemic situation, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested Cao Loc District Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control to urgently carry out rapid tracing, rapid testing, compact zoning, effective and safe quarantine and ensure to isolate F0 cases from the community as soon as possible. At the same time, the unit needs to continue to promote propaganda so that people can well implement 5K+ vaccines + technology + awareness.

As for the border gate area, he asked the relevant forces to strengthen the epidemic prevention and control work at the highest level; tighten management and supervision of long-distance drivers and specialized drivers in accordance with regulations on epidemic prevention and control; strengthen foreign affairs with the neighboring country. In particular, it is necessary to implement all effective epidemic prevention measures, contributing to maintaining the “green zone” of the border gate area, well ensuring import and export activities in the coming time.
