Binh Gia needs to be more careful, drastic and proactive in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic

– That was the direction of Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee during the inspection of the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Thien Thuat commune, Binh Gia district on December 12.

At the meeting with the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control (the Steering Committee) of Binh Gia District and the Steering Committee of Thien Thuat Commune, the delegation was informed about the pandemic situation in the area.

Accordingly, from November 20, 2021 to December 11, 2021, the whole district recorded 42 cases of COVID-19. In particular, the outbreak in Thien Thuat commune from December 8, 2021 up to now has recorded 28 cases of COVID-19 including 20 cases in Thien Thuat commune, 2 cases  in Thien Hoa commune, 6 cases  in Quang Trung commune; there are 11 cases in Hong Phong commune and 3 cases in Hong Thai commune related to other outbreaks.

There are currently 37 cases of COVID-19 being treated (5 cases have been cured and discharged). F1, F2 cases are isolated and monitored according to regulations, ensuring safety.

Speaking at the inspection, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee asked Binh Gia district to be closer, more drastic and proactive in implementing measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Steering Committee at all levels in the district need to synchronously implement a number of solutions in the coming time such as promoting propaganda, strictly implementing isolation and testing; treatment; avoiding being negligent, overly optimistic and worried in pandemic prevention and control; preventing the situation of “tight outside, loose inside” in isolation and lockdown areas; proactively purchasing medical supplies and quickly testing COVID-19 to organize large-scale testing and promptly localize the outbreak.

The delegation inspects and encourages the forces on duty at the interdisciplinary checkpoint on National Highway 279, at the entering of Thien Thuat commune, Binh Gia district.

In addition, the unit needed to maximize and mobilize the participation of both the political system and the people in pandemic prevention and control; ensure social welfare, avoid insufficient basic living conditions for people in quarantine areas; organize propaganda for people to narrow down the scale of funeral and wedding ceremonies; strengthen professional measures to ensure security and order, strictly handle cases of violations of regulations on pandemic prevention and control.

Previously, the mission inspected and ecouraged the forces on duty at the interdisciplinary health checkpoint on Highway 279, the entry point in Thien Thuat commune.
