Awarding the code of black jelly growing area in Trang Dinh district

(LSO) – On December 25, in Kim Dong commune, Trang Dinh district, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a ceremony to announce and award the code of the black jelly growing area.

In order to provide quality, safe and sustainable black jelly products for export, in 2020, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development implemented the program to provide the code of black jelly growing areas using the OTAS system / standard to serve export in Kim Dong commune, Trang Dinh district.

After a period of preparation, with the enthusiastic participation of households, the participation of authorities at all levels, the enthusiastic guidance from the experts of OSTAS Global Joint Stock Company, the program to provide the code of the black jelly growing area has been completed, which is certified by the Plant Protection Department (under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) with 6 codes of planting area of ​​60 hectares in Kim Dong commune. In which, 2 codes  are for Pan Dao village cooperative group; the cooperative groups in the villages of Na Tha, Na Muc, Bac Khe, and Na Soong each have a code number.

The providing of black jelly growing codes is a condition and an opportunity for the province’s trade promotion to bring the black jelly products to the international market in general and the Chinese market in particular, contributing to improving the value of products, increasing income for people; maximizing the benefits of Trang Dinh district in particular, Lang Son province in general and the people in activities linking the production, trade and consumption of safe agricultural products through the application of OTAS systems/standards; households in the coded area are trained to raise awareness in compliance with national and international regulations and standards on phytosanitary and food safety.
