Continue to accompany businesses to remove difficulties and stabilize production and business activities

– On September 1, the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) met the Provincial Business Association (PBA). Mrs. Doan Thu Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired the meeting.

In the first 8 months of the year, PBA has implemented various activities to connect enterprise members and at the same time support them to remove difficulties; coordinated to perform the tasks assigned by the province with the aim to make great contributions to the province’s social security movements.

Specifically, PBA has propagated, mobilized and instructed member enterprises to flexibly apply measures to well implement the “dual goal” – maintaining production and business activities and preventing and controlling the Covid 19 pandemic; promoted the linkages with provincial departments, relevant agencies and sectors to promptly act as a bridge to remove difficulties for member enterprises.

Along with that, PBA has actively mobilized its members to contribute to the social welfare movements of the province such as: supporting the program “Tet for the poor”; building bridges, roads, and new rural style areas; supporting the province’s COVID-19 prevention and control programs; donating money and medical supplies in localities suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

To complete the task assigned by the Provincial People’s Committee of working as the focal connector to deploy and dindetify the competitiveness index equaled to the levels of department, district and city in 2021, PBA has actively advised the Provincial People’s Committee to select consulting contractors and organized deployment to departments, agencies, People’s Committees of districts and city.

At the meeting, PBA and business representatives identified about 30 problems that businesses are facing primarily in areas such as: land, site clearance, investment in primary construction; administrative reform; credits, taxes and fees; social insurance; import and export.

After listening to reports and opinions from representatives of PBA, provincial departments, agencies and branches answered some of the raised issues. At the same time, the pledged to look into and review the issues that have not been clarified during the meeting. There will be feedback and solutions for to solve difficulties for businesses in the shortest time.

To conclude the meeting, Mr. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated the activities and contributions of the provincial PBA and businesses in the province in general finished in the first 8 months of the year. At the same time, he acknowledged difficulties and problems that businesses are facing.

He suggested that enterprises continue to have connection in production and ensure production and business activities in the Covid-19 pandemic. It is important for PBA to actively understand members’ production and business of members to better promote its role as a bridge between the business community and the Provincial People’s Committee; assisting enterprises to improve their management capacity; actively admitting new members, especially performing well the tasks assigned by the province in the implementation of evaluating DDCI index in 2021.

He affirmed: The Provincial People’s Committee will continue to accompany local businesses to remove difficulties, create the best conditions for businesses to ensure production and business activities towards the aim to contribute to maintaining the growth rate and implementing the provincial socio-economic goals in 2021.

He assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to assume the main responsibility for coordinating with PBA and relevant agencies to prepare for the dialogue with businesses which expected to be held in October 2021.
