Businesses need to urgently review and self-assess the safety level of their units in the Covid-19 prevention and control

– On June 3, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control inspected the epidemic prevention and control work at three enterprises in local industrial parks and clusters in Chi Lang and Cao Loc districts.

Attending the delegation were leaders of the Mass Mobilization Commmission of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Police and representatives of relevant departments, agencies and sectors.

Accordingly, the delegation inspected the epidemic prevention and control at Dong Banh Cement Joint Stock Company, Dong Banh Industrial Park, Chi Lang district; Bao Long Company Limited and Hung Vuong Trading Service and Production Company Limited, Local Industrial Cluster No. 2, Cao Loc district.

The inspection showed that the enterprises have well implemented regulations on the Covid-19 prevention and control such as establishing the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control at the enterprise; the epidemic prevention and control is included in enterprises’ internal rules, regulations, emulation and commendation regulations; regularly check the epidemic prevention and control in working and production areas where many workers are gathering.

In addition, the delegation also pointed out some limitations of the units such as not properly assessing the safety level in the epidemic prevention and control; having not been proactive in conducting SARS-CoV-2 testing for employees; the coordination between units and local authorities is not close.

In addition, two out of three inspected units (except Hung Vuong Trading Service and Production Co., Ltd.) have not yet signed a commitment to ensure safety in the epidemic prevention and control at the unit with the local government where the unit is located.

Speaking at the inspected units, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee noted and highly appreciated the initiative and proactiveness of the units in the Covid-19 prevention and control.

He asked businesses to quickly review and self-assess the safety level of their units in the Covid-19 prevention and control; urgently sign a commitment to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic with local authorities; organize SARS-CoV-2 testing for employees to ensure safety in the epidemic prevention and control.

At the same time, businesses need to continue improving the working environment for employees, regularly perform environmental cleaning and periodically spray disinfectant at the workplace.

Enterprises need to pay attention to labor management at the grassroots; organize propaganda for employees to strictly implement medical declaration and epidemic prevention and control measures in their agencies and families. Enterprises must continue to actively increase production and business, overcome difficulties caused by the epidemic, ensure the implementation of the “dual goal” of both effective epidemic prevention and control and production development.

On this occasion, the provincial delegation visited, encouraged and donated medical equipment to the units for the epidemic prevention and control. To support the Covid-19 prevention and control in the province, Dong Banh Cement Joint Stock Company, Dong Banh Industrial Park, Chi Lang district donated 130 million VND to the Provincial Steering Committee; 100 million VND for Chi Lang district.
