The Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control presented fund to support the Provincial Center for Disease Control

– On the morning of May 27, the delegation of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, led by Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Steering Committee visited, presented fund to support medical staff, doctors and nurses performing disease prevention and control at the Provincial Center for Disease Control.

The Provincial Center for Disease Control currently has 135 staff, doctors and nurses on duty to guide, classify, take samples and test. They are the first to directly contact suspected cases of infection, so there is a potential risk of disease transmission and infection.

After grasping the implementation of the epidemic control work of the Provincial Center for Disease Control, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee praised staff, doctors and nurses’ sense of responsibility in performing their duties.

He noted that the center’s staff, doctors and nurses need to continue to make more efforts to help the health sector and Party committees, authorities and steering committees for Covid-19 prevention and control at all levels to zone and control the epidemic, test in the shortest time, have plans for suspected cases of infection to avoid spreading to the community, control the epidemic well and protect the people’s health.

During the program, the delegation gave 50 million VND and necessities worth five million VND to the Provincial Center for Disease Control to encourage staff, doctors and nurses to continue to overcome difficulties and well fulfill their assigned duties.
