Ending medical quarantine at Lang Son Lung Hospital

– At 15:00 on May 27, authorized by the Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, the representative leader of Department of Health announced the Decision of the Steering Committee on ending medical quarantine measures for Covid-19 prevention and control at Lang Son Lung Hospital.

Ending medical quarantine at Lang Son Lung Hospital is made according to the Steering Committee’s Decision No. 86/QĐ-BCĐ dated May 27, 2021.

The representative leader of Department of Health read the decision on ending medical quarantine at Lang Son Lung Hospital, Hoang Dong commune, Lang Son city.

Accordingly, the entire Lang Son Lung Hospital, Hoang Dong commune, Lang Son city ended the lockdown and medical quarantine from 15:00 on May 27, 2021.

Lang Son Lung Hospital will receive patients who come to the hospital for check-up and treatment right after the medical quarantine is over.

Previously, the entire Lang Son Lung Hospital was under lockdown, medical quarantine because it was related to the case of Covid-19 infected patient 3090 being treated at the unit (patient 3090 was transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases and fully recovered). The hospital quarantined 10 F1 cases and 343 F2 cases who are medical staff, patients and patients’ family members.

The participating forces removed quarantine signs at the gate of Lang Son Lung Hospital.

During 21 days of medical quarantine, the life of medical staff and people at the unit was always stable, epidemic prevention and control was carried out seriously and effectively, no new cases of Covid-19 were recorded. The samples of all F1, F2 cases at Lung Hospital were taken  for SARS-CoV-2 screening testing in accordance with regulations and all received negative results.

After ending medical quarantine, Lang Son Lung Hospital will continue to receive patients for check-up and treatment according to assigned functions and tasks. At the same time, the unit will actively strengthen measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic according to the regulations of Ministry of Health.

The representative of the Trade Union of Health Sector gave gifts to encourage medical staff of Lang Son Lung Hospital.

10 F1 cases who have completed quarantine at the unit will continue to monitor their health at home under the supervision of medical staff for seven days and their samples for SARS-CoV-2 testing will be taken on the 7th day. F2 cases will return to their families and are required to strictly implement the 5K message of Ministry of Health.

Immediately after reading the decision on ending quarantine, the representative leader of Department of Health visited, gave gifts and encouraged officials and medical staff of the Lung Hospital to continue to perform their professional duties well, ensuring that the epidemic prevention and control at the unit will be effective and safe.
