Cao Loc: Active in fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic

– Currently Cao Loc district is the location of 484 enterprises and cooperatives engaged in production and business activities with an average annual revenue of more than 4,500 billion VND, creating jobs for over 3.7 thousand workers. In response to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, functional units of the district have implemented many epidemic prevention measures in industrial zones, clusters and concentrated production facilities in the area.

Many industrial production enterprises are mainly located in the communes of Hong Phong, Binh Trung, Hop Thanh, and Dong Dang and Cao Loc town.

It is estimated that 100% of workers at industrial production facilities in the district are local people, of which 50% are living in the city of Lang Son and districts of Van Quan, Van Lang, and Chi Lang. Annually, the production value of industry, handicrafts accounts for 55% of the economic proportion of the district.

Amid the complicated developments of the Covid-19 virus, one of the urgent issues for Cao Loc district is the fights against the virus inside the industrial and handicraft production establishments. Since the 4th waves of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cao Loc District People’s Committee has issued 177 instructional documents in order to tightening the pandemic prevention and control in both residential areas and industrial production facilities.

Bao Long Co., Ltd, specializes in manufacturing water pumps in the local industrial cluster No. 2, which is the largest employer in the area with about 300 workers. Mr. Huynh Van Long, Director of the Company said: Following the direction of the District People’s Committee on strengthening measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic in industrial zones, clusters and economic zones in the district, my company asked all workers to follow strictly the “5 K” recommendation proposed by Ministry of Health, and at the same time, set up epidemic prevention teams at each production team; record workers’ temperature, history of travel; reports on workers’ health status on a weekly basis are sent to the Board of Directors for further control and management. At the same time, we provide sanitizers for workers and workers are requested to disinfect and clean the production area after each shift in order to ensure the safety for the next shifts.

Workers of H&T Production and Trading Co., Ltd. keep social distancing at work

And at H&T Trading and Production Co., Ltd., which is located in the local industrial cluster No. 2, specializing in the production of bamboo mats and bamboo mats with more than 50 workers, the company’s epidemic prevention work has been carried out quite well. such as: establishing a steering committee for epidemic prevention at the company level; establish epidemic prevention teams at each production group; Procurement of anti-epidemic supplies, antiseptic solution, masks, thermometers to measure body temperature, set up temperature monitoring books for workers, implement distance in production…

Mr. Trinh Tuan Dung, Deputy Director of the company said: Fighting against the Covid-19 virus is to stabilize production and create sustainable development for the company. Therefore, workers are asked to make medical declarations to their team leaders, keep social distancing at work as well as during breaks and off shifts.

To ensure the safety in industrial clusters and concentrated production facilities, Cao Loc District People’s Committee already asked relevant units to guide businesses in implementing epidemic prevention measures such as building disease prevention plans when detecting subjects with high risks of infection.

Nguyen Duy Anh, Chairman of Cao Loc District People’s Committee said: In response to the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic, the district has activated the entire disease prevention and control system at all levels, especially the pandemic prevention system at industrial production facilities where a large number of people work posing a high risk of becoming Covid-hotspots.

Specifically, the District People’s Committee has set up a Zalo based group and a hotline to establish an online platform to update information on the Covid-19 pandemic at production facilities. At the same time, business owners are requested to sign a commitment to fully implement epidemic prevention and control measures as well as strictly handle violations at their units. As a result, no cases of infection have been detected in enterprises, and production activities have been recorded stable.

The fourth wave of the Covid-19 virus from late April 2021 has been very complicated with many variants. Therefore, Covid-19 prevention and control measures applied at production facilities in Cao Loc will contribute to the successful implementation of the “dual goal” of both fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and developing socio-economic development, ensuring sustainable economic development.
