Leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee attended the conference to summarize the work of the home affairs sector

(LSO) – On January 8, the Department of Home Affairs held a conference to summarize the work in 2020 and implemente the tasks in 2021. Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee attended and directed the conference.

In 2020, despite many difficulties and challenges, with the close attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Council, Provincial People’s Committee, the home affairs sector of the province has united, created, innovated and actively participated in plan to complete 16/16 tasks assigned by the Provincial People’s Committee according to the working program of 2020, implement one key task of the province. 4/5 key tasks approved by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee were completed at execellent level, 1/5 of the task was completed at good level

The fields of the sector have achieved many important results, contributing to the overall development of the province and the home affairs sector of the country. Sepecifically, the provincial home affairs sector has advised the Provincial People’s Committee to direct the arrangement of reducing 21 professional divisions and equivalent units (reducing from 129 divisions to 108 ones with the rate of 16.3%), reducing 145/1850 villages, residential groups reaching the rate of 7.8%, reducing working position of 667 administrative civil servants, non-business officials, communal cadres and civil servants; granting 2,619 card numbers to cadres, civil servants and public employees of departments, commissions, sector, and People’s Committees of districts and city; advised the Provincial People’s Committee to successfully organize the Conference on reviewing the provincial administrative reform master program of Lang Son province in the period of 2011 – 2020 …

In 2021, implementing the province’s motto of “Tightening discipline, strengthening responsibility, taking drastic action, creating breakthrough”, Lang Son’s home affairs sector focuses on implementing a number of directions and tasks including successfully deploying the election of delegates to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Council delegates at all levels for the term 2021 – 2026 in the province; advising the promulgation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee’s Executive Committee on improving the quality of human resources in Lang Son province period 2021 – 2025; advising the Provincial People’s Committee to organize the first Award Ceremony of “Excellent Lang Son Citizen”; …

Addressing at the conference, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee acknowledged and praised the achievements of home affairs sector in 2020.

He suggested that in the coming time, the home affairs sector should follow the instruction documents of the Central Government, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Council, the Provincial People’s Committee to meet the requirements of the province’s home affairs. The Department of Home Affairs, as a standing agency, needed to prepare well in terms of human and material resources, to advise the Provincial People’s Committee to organize professional training for officials and civil servants of the sector to serve the election of the 15th National Assembly delegates and delegates of the People’s Council at all levels for the term 2021 – 2026 in the province.

In addition, the sector should focus on improving the quality of state management in the organizational apparatus, reducing working positions, recruiting cadres, civil servants and public employees at all levels. At the same time, it should advise the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council to launch and organize emulation movements to commemorate the 190th establishment anniversary of Lang Son province.
