Districts and city need to actively develop the most effective plans to receive and quarantine cases from pandemic areas returning to their localities.

– On the afternoon of June 11, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control (the Steering Committee) attended and chaired a meeting on the prevention and control of Covid-19 in the province.

The meeting was online with 11 sites in districts and city. Particularly in Huu Lung district, the meeting was connected to 24 sites of communes and towns in the district.

According to the report of the Steering Committee, from April 28, 2021 to 6:00 pm on June 10, 2021, the whole province recorded 95 cases of Covid-19 related to the outbreaks announced by the Ministry of Health. In which, 9 cases have been cured, 1 case has died.

In 2 days, June 10 and 11, 2021, Lang Son received and welcomed 937 citizens from the Bac Giang pandemic area returning to the locality (Covid-19 infected cases cured; F1 cases completing 21-day public quarantine with at least 3 negative tests for SARS-CoV-2; citizens in the lockdown area) ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

The Provincial Steering Committee assessed that the pandemic development in the area was basically under control. Districts and city have well implemented the motto of “4 on the spot” to ensure human resources and facilities to meet pandemic prevention and control in the area.

Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee delivered a concluding speech at the meeting

However, the pandemic in the coming time will continue to develop complicatedly, including new strains with high infectivity; cases of Covid-19 with unknown source of infection (in Huu Lung district); receiving a large number of workers and workers in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces who wish to return to the locality; a part of the people, including officials, public servants and public employees who are still neglectful in pandemic prevention and control.

At the meeting, delegates at the site had many ideas and suggestions to improve the effectiveness of pandemic prevention and control in the coming time, such as continuing to improve the effectiveness of propaganda; regularly inspecting and supervising pandemic prevention and control at the grassroots level; continuing to mobilize resources to support the entire society for pandemic prevention and control; maintaining pandemic prevention and control in border areas and border gates.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee praised the efforts of localities in implementing pandemic prevention measures.

He requested districts and city to continue to actively develop the most effective plans to receive and quarantine cases from pandemic areas wishing to return to their localities to ensure safety in accordance with the regulations.

He required that when detecting a new Covid-19 case, it was necessary to speed up tracing, rapid localization for timely large-scale testing and effective treatment. Public medical quarantine and home quarantine must absolutely prevent its spreading in the quarantine area and the community. Depending on the practice, the units need to flexibly and effectively implement the “dual goals” of both pandemic prevention and control and actively connection and consumption of agricultural products, ensuring production and people’s lives during the pandemic period.

Districts and city need to do a good job of propagating and mobilizing organizations, businesses, individuals and the whole society to join hands to support pandemic prevention in the area. After receiving support, it is necessary to use it for the right purpose, effectively, publicly and transparently.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested the Department of Health to urgently implement the Covid-19 vaccination plan in the second phase of 2021 in the area to ensure fast, accurate, effective, safe and economic vaccines. At the same time, it is necessary to promote research on supplies to buy vaccines to meet the needs of the province; absolutely avoid cross-contamination occuring in the hospital.
