Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Study Promotion Association

– On November 10, the Provincial Study Promotion Association celebrated its 20th anniversary. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, representatives of a number of provincial departments and agencies.

The Provincial Study Promotion Association was established under Decision No. 33/QDUB dated 26/7/2001 of People’s Committee of Lang Son province. After 20 years of construction and development, the association has actively propagated the policies and guidelines of the Party and State on study and talent encouragement, the meaning and importance of building a learning society  ,movements, socialization of the education and training sector… contribute to arousing and promoting the tradition of studiousness in the community. Up to now, the association’s organization has developed widely throughout the province with 11 district and city level associations, 200 commune, ward and township level associations  and nearly 215,000 members, accounting for 27% of the province’s population. All levels of associations have funds to promote learning and maintain Study Promotion Association activities in the area.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee acknowledged and praised the efforts and results that the Study Promotion Association  has achieved in the past time.

He suggested that all levels, branches and socio-political organizations with the core being the Study Promotion Association continue to perform a number of key tasks such as further improving the roles and responsibilities of the Party committees and authorities at all levels, the Fatherland Front and professional socio-political organizations, mobilize the strength of the whole political system and people from all walks of life to participate in study and talent encouragement, building a learning society in the province; continue to consolidate and perfect the organization of associations at all levels, creating conditions for study encouragement staff to promote their intelligence, enthusiasm and energy for study and talent encouragement activities; promote the development of study encouragement funds, expand the audience study and talent encouragement, give the best attention and support to poor students, students with difficult circumstances to overcome difficulties, students with excellent achievements in study; actively replicate models in study and talent encouragement work the Provincial Study Promotion Association needs to continue to closely coordinate with districts, city, the education and training sector, proactively and actively advise the Party committees and authorities to lead and direct the effective implementation of study and talent encouragement work and building a learning society work …

At the ceremony, the Central Committee of the Association, the Provincial People’s Committee and the Provincial Study Promotion Association presented emulation flags, certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with many achievements in study and talent encouragement work in the 2016-2021 period.
